Our Story

Built on doing the job right

Townend Plumbing & Gas started with a simple frustration: too many people were being let down by plumbers who didn't turn up, didn't explain the cost, and didn't stand behind their work. Our founder, a licensed plumber and gas fitter who grew up in the Perth Hills, set out to do it differently.

More than 20 years on, that's still how we work. We're a locally owned business, not a call-centre franchise, so when you ring you get a real tradesman who knows the area, the older hills pipework, and the bore and gas setups that come with it. We diagnose the actual fault, give you a fixed price before we start, and leave the place as tidy as we found it.

From emergency plumbing repairs and blocked drains to hot water systems and gas fitting, we handle it end to end across Kalamunda, Lesmurdie, Mundaring and the wider foothills. No shortcuts, no surprises, just work we're happy to put our name on.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ashley from Townend Plumming and Gas assisted me with a tricky job of supplying a new gas hot water system and relocating the hot water system. The job was executed neatly and efficiently. Highly recommended Ash for any plummer/hot water system work. Also a really genuine bloke.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ashley from Townend Plumbing and Gas is an excellent tradesman. He has attended our home on more than one occasion, one for installation of a new gas stovetop, maintenance services and one morning when our gas hot water system wasn't working. Ashley provides excellent service, exceptional workmanship and advice. He is efficient in the work he does, provides clear explanations of the reasons things have stopped working and how he can repair them. He is very honest, reliable and very approachable. He has a respectful manner and overall an excellent person to deal. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashley for all your gas and plumbing needs. He is local which is an added bonus. Thanks for great work Ashley. 5* stars for excellent service. Our new hot water booster is brilliant, thank you!!
